An arrangement is the pattern you and the other parent have agreed: which of you has the children on each day of a repeating cycle of one to four weeks, and optionally when and where care changes hands.
How it works
- Go to Requests, choose New request, and pick the Arrangement type. (On the Calendar, Propose an arrangement takes you to the same place.)
- Set how often it repeats and the day the cycle starts, then tap each day to choose who has the children. Add a handover time or meeting point if you like.
- Send it. It appears at the top of the other parent's Requests, where they can agree (choosing the date it applies from) or decline it — the same way they answer any request.
Nothing applies until the other parent agrees. You can change your proposal while it is waiting. Once agreed, it cannot be edited — a change is a new proposal, and what was agreed before stays on record.
What it changes
- The calendar shows what was agreed for each day, beside what you log, and the agreed pattern itself below the month. It never logs anything for you.
- If a request that changes a date is accepted, that date is marked “Varied by request”.
- If you agree a notice period, each new request records the period that was agreed when it was sent. It is shown as information, never as a judgement.
- The Overview page shows your next handover and how long until it.
Handover reminders
You can get a push notification the evening before each handover in your agreed arrangement. Switch on Handover reminders in Settings → Notifications. Each parent chooses for themselves, and it's off until you switch it on. It's free, and it needs push notifications on for this device.
To keep your lock screen private, the reminder says only “You have a handover tomorrow”. The time, who the children go to and any agreed change are in the app, one tap away.
Privacy
Meeting points are stored encrypted. Notifications never include a place or a time: they say only that a proposal was made, agreed or declined, or that you have a handover tomorrow.
