De Kind is a record both parents keep. Until the other parent joins, you can still log custody and costs and make requests. Once they join, they see everything you've recorded.
Three ways to invite them
- Send the code yourself. Copy the code from the Overview page and send it however you normally talk: a text, WhatsApp or email. Codes expire after 7 days. Find or renew your code.
- Email it from De Kind. On the Overview page, enter their email address. We send one email with the code and a link that fills it in for them. We don't email them again, and replies come to you.
- Share a request. If you need an answer to something specific, make the request and use “Share this request”. The link lets them join and answer it, and it keeps working while the request is waiting. Sharing a request before they join.
What the other parent does
- Creates a free account and confirms their email address.
- Chooses Join a household and enters the code. With the emailed link or a shared request, they don't need to type anything.
- They're in. What changes when they join.
